14" x 14" Acrylic on canvas Original sold; prints in store Contrary to popular opinion, leather is not simply a by-product of the meat industry. In fact, 10% of a producer's income comes from selling animal skins, making it pound for pound the most valuable part of an animal. The majority of leather comes from "beef" & "dairy" cows. These animals have their lives taken from them in slaughterhouses with a legally allowed stunning error rate of 5-10%, meaning some animals are skinned alive.
